Agriculture

Agriculture has been the backbone of Central Washington’s way of life for generations, and is still the foundation of our economy today. From apples to wine, potatoes and asparagus, and beef and wheat – our region is known for producing a wide variety of top-quality agricultural products that are enjoyed by consumers worldwide.

I have been a long-time advocate for policies that support our farmers. Some of my priorities include leveling the playing field and creating new trade opportunities for local farmers, allowing access to legal labor, stopping card check schemes, supporting agriculture research, stopping the cap-and-trade national energy tax, improving access to water, protecting family farms from the death tax, and fighting back against liberal proposals to expand federal regulations that put farmers out of business.
